A 50% deposit is made in order to secure your order and event date and is always non-refundable. For all WEDDING orders, Final payment is due a minimum of one week prior to the event in order to complete the wedding cake.
For all other orders, Final payment is due on the day of pick up or prior by invoice.
A deposit is made in order to secure your order and event date and is always non-refundable. Being a small shop, Stormie.D's is only able to take a very limited number of custom orders for any given week. We must often decline other orders in order to secure your place- in doing so we ensure that every order we take gets the proper amount of attention devoted to it.
For wedding orders, in addition to declining other custom orders on your date, we have spent time pricing out designs and researching techniques, made contacts with your venue, and ordered materials needed for your order. For these reasons, we are unable to refund deposits at any time and we thank you for your understanding.
For custom orders we often have hand-made decorative elements which need to be made in advance to give enough time for drying or we have sourced other decorations for your order. Therefore, at least 14 days notice is needed in order to cancel any custom order. All store credits from cancellations are handled as follows:
If cancellation is requested 14 days prior to the order date, 90% of your order deposit will be returned to you as store credit and only valid for 6mths starting from the date of cancellation. This credit can be used towards future custom orders only. (No cash refunds).
If cancellation is not requested with the time frame of 14 days, the cake order will proceed and must be picked up on the event date, Alternatively you may forfeit your 50% deposit and not receive a cake for the event.
Last minute Cake Orders Made Online have a no cancellation policy and cannot receive a Refund.
*Customers receiving store credit have their credit stored for 6mths on file at Stormie.D's
* After 6mths from the cancellation date, store credits expire.
CHANGE OF EVENT DATE - POLICY
Post-ponement requests are handled on a case by case basis as availability may be limited for future requested dates and we may not be able to fit you on your requested date.
We cannot guarantee that we will be able to move your order to the new requested date. For post-ponement requests made within 14 days notice 90% of your deposit back as a store credit for future orders if we cannot accomodate your new date. (No cash refunds).
If change of pickup or delivery date is not requested within 14 days notice, no partial credit will be received in the event that we cannot accommodate the date change. Sorry, no exceptions.
CHANGE OF DESIGN - POLICY
If you request a complete change of design for your event and we can do this request, we will charge you a $20 fee as we would have already quoted on a particular design, which has already taken us time to do so, this is fair on us as we are very busy and just don't have the time and resources to accommodate for change of mind on your designs.

All Quotes Last for a maximum of 14 days, Cake Date Availability is subject to change as we are constantly booking in new orders and your order is only confirmed once we have received your 50% deposit.
